Switching back to conventional oil safe?

Is there any harm in switching from synthetic oil back to regular conventional oil? I tried doing a search but couldn't find any info on this topic. Thanks.

no, there should be absolutely no harm done. synthetic does offer you some more protection, but there is nothing wrong with conventional oil. any particular reason why you want to switch back?

don't you have to do a combination mixture if you are going to switch and then after that you can do the full change

No. You can just switch over at any time.

a few mechanics have said to use a synthetic blend when switching from synth to natural and vice versa.

no problem, the question is why would you want to go to normal?

No problem like people said. But why do you want to switch back? You'll probably end up changing the oil more frequently with conventional.

nope no problem. heck, even when you do the change, part of the synthetic oil won't drain out. you'll end up with a natural blend for a while.

I could see why you'd want to use a blend when going from the dino juice to the synthetic especially if the car has been on the dino stuff for a while, but not going the other way.

I'm going to guess the reason he's going back is becasue of the cost, but just a shot in the dark

The reason for switching is because a friend of mine is buying a used '03 TL Type-S and the previous owner is using synthetic oil and he wants to use conventional oil because he gets unlimited free oil changes. Thanks for all the responses.
