swirls marks galore
Well spring time is around and its time to do a little spray n clay ( clay bar ) but before i do that, can anyone recommened a good swirl mark remover? I was going to go with ziano but I didnt feel like buying 80 different types of Z's to get results. How is zaino swirl mark remover by the way? is it as good as they say? can I only do a combonation of the z1 and the swirl remover?

OK here we go again. Zaino's Z5 does not remove swirls. It has some abrasive properties, but it is really more of a filler than a remover. Reason being is that you can't put Z2 over a non-polymer filler. So you have to have something that will allow Z to bond to. That's why Sal made Z5.
OK so now the real question: How do I remove swirls. The only way is to use an abrasive. My suggestions are to use in order of best, better results. My assumption is they are just swirls, no major scratches.
1) 3M Swirl Mark Remover (SMR) with an orbital polisher
2) Meguiars Scratch-X by hand
Z% will certainly help, but it will not remove swirls, just fill them. And it will take a very long time to fill them to a point where they are no longer noticeable.

Just take better care of the car meaning use the Z5 as a part of your regular cleaning regime and eventually the swirls will be less noticable. The only way to get rid of swirls is to have the car repainted. I have heard mixed stories on the 3M swirl remover some liked it some thought it was too harsh...

I recommend using the orbital or have someone do it for you. I've applied Scratch-X by hand to the entire car before; you'd be there weeks to generate the same results of an orbital, if possible at all. After doing it by hand (black car), I'd say the result was a slight improvement, if any.

or you can go to a auto detailing shop to have it done, i had mine done last spring, they shampoed the carpets cleaned the leather buffed and polished the outside (basicly the whole 9 yards) for around 200 bucks
