a few questions: 1. what type of cloth are you using to dry your car? 2. are you ever wiping your car down with anything when it not clean and wet?

If you wax your car that might help.

A lot of the swirl marks or marring can be from the dealers detailing crew.

Very light swirl marks can be hidden (filled in) with a couple of coats of Zaino Z5.

I would wash the car from top to bottom using only a wash mitt, do not use a sponge. Use a separate mitt for the wheels as you do not want to wash your car with brake dust, soap and water. Use car wash soap, not dish detergent as that strips off the wax. Dry the car with a chamois or one of those man made synthetic ones. To hide the swirls, you can wax the car but that only fills them until the coat of wax thins and then they are back. To remove the swirls use a 3M or Meguires product (swirl remover). I have done this by hand but it takes forever - now I use a little rotary buffer and a FOAM pad (not wool) that cuts alittle of the clearcoat down which leaves you with a perfect finish. Then wax your car and you are good to go. To really nail this project, find an auto parts store nearby that sells paint to bodyshops. They will have what you need and will know how to use it. Hope this helps.

I tried 3M swirl remover for dark color cars last Friday and it was pretty good. You are actually polishing it with the product. After applied it and wax it; it looks like new!! (I mean new new...)

Make sure you choose the right one for your car 'cuz they have one for dark color cars and one for light color cars.

First, polish with a mild restorer:
3M ( fine)
or Meguiar's #9. This will remove the very fine spider web lines, and gently round off the endges of the deepoer ones, which will make them less noticeable to the eye.

Then, Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing Lotion or Meguar's #7.

Then, switch to Zaino #5 for several coats, thenhj #2
