Is it suppose to be this way??

We installed Comptech springs with stock shocks on my wife's 2003 TL Type S and it looks great. The ride is much stiffer than I anticipated. Is it because the springs are overwhelming the stock shocks?? My comparison is based on my 94 Legend Coupe which is riding on H&R's with Koni shocks and 18" Advans AVS Model 5's. Which is much smoother..

Thanks,

MikeC

Hello Mike, I have a question for you? I just bought a 2003 TL Type S. I noticed the roof makes noise when it is closed, do you have the same problem?

Are you talking about the sunroof noise? Do a search here and you will find the answer, its a commom problem that can be fixed by your Acura dealer in 5 minutes.

I got a mystery rattle in the rear of the car. I can't pin point it. My sun roof dosen't make any noise at all. I'm getting really annoyed with the mystery rattle.

Hmmm... that's strange. I'd say 99.7% of the people who installed Comptech springs say that it rides very very close to stock.

Anyway... the stock shocks are partially responsible. The tighter spring rate is too. If you go with better shocks like Koni or something... it'll ride a little smoother.

Elipin: At this time I have no rattles in the car at all.

juniorbean: That's what I heard as well... My mechanic performed the installation and I trust his work... The installation of the Comptech springs is pretty straight forward.. Right? The only other thing I can think of is; if the bump stops had to be cut to make the Comptech springs fit?

Thanks,

MikeC
