Supercharger innards?

Supercharger innards?
Question: Comptech is prepping a supercharger for the TL. It appears it will not require any internal mods.
Even with a moderate boost, internal pressures and temperatures will go way up. I am interested in opinions about longevity of the Tl's engine with a supercharger.
By comparison, the new Mercedes C32 has the following beefed-up parts for their supercharged V6:
connecting rods, forged crankshaft, valve springs, etc. etc.
------------------
Rage On!
2002 TL-S w. Comptech header/exhaust
SSR Integral A2's
17x7 45mm offset
Pirelli P7000 (Summer) 215-50/17

It's not recommended to put forced induction on any vehicle without some "bulletproofing" of the engine. As you stated before, internal pressures and heat will rise. This can cause early wear if your engine was not designed for it. If you go ahead with the application be prepared to run into compression issues as well as detonation. It is ALWAYS recommended to get an FMIC with any type of forced induction. Good luck!

Seems like they have been working on that for a while. They have probably run into a problem with the high compression of the engine causing detonation.
The internals of the engine may not need modification if the boost remains relatively low, but the resultant horsepower gain may also be low...too low to justify the cost of the supercharger in the first place.
The Honda blocks seem to be able to take to turbo charging and supercharging well enough. The replacement of the pistons to lower compression units is well warranted, this would result in an engine that better utilizes the available boost, ultimately making more power.
........I should never post with out drinking coffee first, did I just make any sense?
