Angry This is to strange not to post...

Got three labor quotes to install front and rear Comptech swaybars:

Muscle Car Speedshop - $540
Ricer Shop - $360
Acura Tech working on the side - $50

WTF??? Both shops said that sways on TLs are an "odd" install.

Crazyness...

u sure the acura tech has done this before...that could explain the price, he may not know what he's getting into if he's new

also, the tech doesn't have any shop costs so that's drops the price a pretty prenny, but then again you can't really complain if he messes anything up either (e.g. scratched paint)

I sure he's done it at least once before. I got his info from a member here who had this guy do them.

Good point about if he screws up though. Hadn't thought of that.

Thanks,

Joe

why would the guy do the job right at the dealership while you pay 60 bucks an hour but mess up the job on the side?.. i think a sway bar is easier to do than some other mods.

What makes a pair of sway bars installation so expensive ? It's just a matter of unscrewing a few bolts, swapping the bars, and re-tightening back the bolts. Half an hour work at most even for the inexperienced.

Replacing shocks and springs may be harder because the rear bench seat will have to be taken out.

the front sway bar is a little trickier than the rear.. but you should do it on your own.
