First- make sure you know and have written down the radio security code

Yes on the battery- at least disconnect the NEG cable from the battery and give it a full charge before storage
Seafoam in the gas tank prevents sludge build up- there are directions on their website and on the can on "fogging" the engine internals with Seafoam to protect everything
Similar to our use of vac line- just no burn- off drive afterwards

If possible- store on jackstands to keep tires round
Plan on changing the oil and brake fluid when you return- they grab moisture from the air
A few of those moisture absorb silica packets inside the car will keep the interior safe
Wax- 3 coats before storage, on the rims too and some tire protect spray
Anyone else- more interior protection ides???

I would store the entire car in a pool of seafoam.

Great advice on that link. I bought an old 94 Dodge Spirit once and right off the bat there were flat spots on the tires and it needed an alignment, just from sitting for six months.

thanks for the link Bob; however the guy recommended the "jack-stand" theory however the last pic shows the car tires covered in plastic?

To be honest I want to start my car every week and take it for a spin...that way I can ensure that the tires will not have that flat spot effect and that everything is functioning....
but then I might just disconnect the battery...leave some type of baking soda on the inside on the vehicle to ensure no odour and leave the windows a little open...oh yea...I will wash/wax b4 I store.....after all it will be in the summer months not winter...and it's store inside my garage.... <--- good or no?

if it wont be going anywhere, my advice would be to get a battery tender, use a fuel stabilizer, and if your really anal put some jackstands or likewise under the hard points and take the stress off of your suspension, let some air out of your tires. I left my 91' legend sitting like this for well over a year, i connected the battery, put the wheels on the ground and it started right up. If you dont do anything else, cover it and use a fuel stabilizer, the last thing you want is jellified fuel screwing your expensive fuel system b/c you didnt pay 4 bucks for a fuel stabilizer.

If you are going to drive it once a week , why do anything . Stablizer idea may not be bad idea , especially if weekly drives are not that far. I haven't seriously driven my TL-S since last Nov . Use my truck over winter. Just make sure you operate the power windows and door locks , trunk release from Fob and from inside car , in short , operate as many controls as possible to make sure that everything stays working. I've taken the car out every week or two . Been doin ' this for last 2 winters , car is fine .

IMO, if you're going to drive it around once a week, you really don't have to do anything. It's not going to sit long enough for anything to happen to it.
