Question stock wood trim

any way to remove the rechid wood pieces that come with the ebony interior...ALL OVER THE PLACE!!! i hate them, and i want to remove them soo badly..but i have a few quetsions/concers...
(1) How hard is it to remove all these pieces (minus the door pieces, because i know those are a *****.
(2) what is underneath these pieces?
(3) anything to replace it with?

The center console piece are easy. Just open your armrest all the way and pull up on the end of the wood trim. Be careful b/c you don't want to snap it but it shouldn't be that hard. It's held in by clips. Once you get the end up the portion up by the radio & glove box must be pulled slightly towards the back of the car. That's it!
I'll warn you now...it looks horrible with nothing there so find something to replace it. I think Tim might have replacement kits, not sure though. Check on www.autocarparts.com

Why don't you just get the same wood pieces from a Junkyard, sand them down to a texture like your dashboard, and repaint it with a matt finish to match your interior ?
(You will need to keep your OEM parts intact just in case you want to resell your car later)

i dont think hes talking about the pieces that come on all tl's... only the after makret pieces on the dash, the cupholders, vents, etc.
