Yeah just get em balanced and try it again, most aftermarket rims will have your car just a LIL shaky anyway but try to get em balanced the best they can do it~!

Tires being balanced and TOE have nothing to do with each other. Even if they Balanced them it doesnt mean its done correctly. Bring it back and tell them that it shakes while driving. They can recheck the balance of the tires.

yes, toe, camber and a couple other things I can't remember. I agree though, toe and balance don't have anything in common. The toe adjusts your tires like this (imagine an aerial view of the tires) / / or \ \...that's what they look like when your toe is out. Of course this is how they should look | |. The balance is just the weight on the wheel itself and when it gets spinning fast it will wobble a bit if it's not balanced properly. I would say that is probably the balance if you only feel it at higher speeds considering you just had the wheel put on.

Also with aftermarket rims (dressy wheels of any sort really) they are hesitant to apply weights to the outside surface of the rim. The point being it is not attractive to have little lead chunks of metal draped around the rim in plain sight. The best balance will not be achieved without being able to apply weights to both sides.

Toe is an allignment thing as was stated before. You may have had a full gas tank as well but that really doesnt factor into the equation.

When does it vibrate, at a certain speed, or when braking, or over a certain speed? These are things that are needed to make a good asessment of what is causing the problem.

No other information known...... i would say balance as well. I bet it starts at about 50 and gets worse as you speed up.

Well did you check the rims? I just bend my left front rim few days ago by hitting a freaking hole, after that my car front wheel start to vibrate around 55 to 70 mph and during breaking. The rim looks great no bend or anything but when I jack both front wheel up and put the car into drive you will see the rim wobble in and out a little .

So anyone have an extra TL-P rims for sale? Let me know. But in the mean time I swap the real rims to the front to reduce the vibration.

Thanks
RICH

Steering Wheel Shaking

I recently just tapped a curb in Staten Island. There was a concrete spike, that put a hole in my sidewall, & slightly bent the rim.
After checking with 3 tire shops, I put the new tire on the rear, because the slight bend, can't be corrected.
better than spendind $4-500, for a new rim

Not really. if its out of balance it will wear funny causing the tire to get louder and louder, and wear bad. there by causing it to have to be replaced more often. If it is balanced ok then there isnt much of a problem

with nice rims, they place the weights on the inside lip of the wheels. they are lead weights in the shape of flat bars and are attached with adhesive tape. worked great on my 19's. reduced most of the vibration.
hope it works out,
peter.
