Steering Wheel questions

I'm on the phone with the Acura dealership and am ordering a wood grain steering.

The guy on the phone told me the applications is for a 02-03 TL (type-s was not specified on the parts guide) and for a 01-03 CL.

Will I have any problems fitting this with my 2000 TL?

Thank you in advance for your input!

same steering wheel. they list it for a type s since they have the different color "wood grain" and if im not mistaken the wood wheels come out for the 02-03 tl's. thats why they are only listed for the 02-03. which is why i put of links to both steering wheels since the second one will match. had a 99 accord before this TL and they swap steering wheels from 99-03 tl to the 98-02 accords since they are built on the same chassis. anything else. just cuz its listed for those year doesnt mean they wont fit. mdx steering wheels fit as well. so you can go from there. go on www.6thgenaccord.com and youll see what im talkin bout. but heres the link for you guys.

hope this clears up any confusion you may have. cuz i dont know WTF im talking bout. late

Thanks for the help guys.

Philly, yeah I just wanted to make sure that the wheel would fit my 2000. When I asked the guy had no clue on earth since the part number only said 02-03.

I actually emailed a acura dealership on Ebay and then gave the guy a call and he had them in stock at the warehouse. So I called yesterday and had one shipped to my house. I'll see it by Thursday hopefully and pray that it will work and match up with my interior with no problems! If you want the number to the dealership just let me know Philly!

if you read the thread you would see the two links i posted. both for ebay. one for the type s and one for the tl-p. both come from the dealership because im sure that you would rather go with oem than some cheap knock off. but if you use the search feature on YAHOO or GOOGLE. you will find who sells them and for what price. hope these two links help you. good day

It should, I would just double check with your order. Or just wait until next week when I get mine on and I'll confirm for sure!

I mean, I'm pretty sure it'll fit since they didn't really change all that much between years.

The guy told me I could return it back to him incase there is a problem just as long as I don't mess it up!

So wrd, i'll get it on and post pictures.

99-03 is the same car across the board minus the front end. cup holders were added and so was the feature with the passenger side mirror that moves down when you back up.wood was added to 02-03 steering wheel and the taillights were changed to red and clear. rims also changed. steering wheel will fit but if it makes you feel more comfortable to wait then do so. have a great day guys

Nice^ I remember someone doing a woodgrain from a MDX and it worked. Only problem was the leather didn't match up exactly. I just can't wait until mine comes in!! Hopefully i'll have it on by Saturday night along with my other goodies!

i guess that was directed at me.. i didnt say u didnt know what ur talking about, i asked wtf u were talking bout.. since the original poster asked if the 02-03 TL or 01-03 CL applications would fit a 2000 TL, and u posted 2 links to 02-03 listings that said nothing about working on a 2000 TL, so it didnt really do anything to answer his question. but u did clear it all up later on in this thread
