Steering wheel offset after Comptechs!

Finally got my Comptech Sports installed today. The drop is very nice. However, I noticed that when driving in a straight line, my steering wheel now points about 5-8 deg. left of center. I'd like to ignore it, but stuff like that drives me insane. I plan on getting an alignment in two days, could that solve it? Or should I take it back to the shop that installed them? (They informed me that the install was a major pain in the ass and they were going to start charging $300 instead of $200 for installs because of my car!) Any tips on this steering wheel issue?

Take it back to the shop anywayz.....The steering alignment shouldn't have been affected at all........The install shouldn't have been a pain in the ass if they knew what they were doin'. I think $200 bucks was a bit much.

They put on springs and didn't align your wheels????? Its not your steering wheel, your camber must be shoot. That shop is RIPPING you off man. 200 for install and no alignment? I'm getting mine done at www.cybernationmotorsports.com and I was quoted 180 with laser alignment. 200 price is like having the dealer do it and I agree with BDI, if they knew what they were doing, its an easy install. DAMN SOB.

Dammit... Well, they said they didn't have the equipment to do alignments. These guys are kind of sketchy, I guess. I just want my steering wheel to be straight!

Doing an alignment should set you straight. What shop is it? Don't ever recommend it to anyone.
