I was playing ard with the wirings in my tl and i think i did somehting not so good. I unplugged the wired under the driver's seat and i didnt see anything happen. so i plugged it back and realised that my memory seat has been reset. ok that is not a big deal, but along with that, my SRS light is on too!
anyone experienced this? what actually happened? which srs is off?

you are going to have to reset the srs light. you have 2 options. 1 bring it to the dealer or 2 o reset the SRS light, here are the cliff notes -

1. Bend a paper clip into a 'U' shape to create a loop

2. Disconnect the yellow plug in your fuse box under the steering wheel and insert the paperclip into the plug that is now hanging there to complete the circuit.

3. Turn the ignition on and the SRS light will stay on for 6 seconds, then go off - disconnect the paperclip within 4 seconds after that and the light will come back on.

4. Reconnect the paperclip within 4 seconds and the SRS light will go off again.

5. Within another 4 seconds of it going off, disconnect the paperclip and the light will blink twice and it will be done.

This works for me, save me $150 just for the inspection (not fixing it)at the dealer. If you don't get it the first time....repeat steps 1-5 again until the SRS light goes off, this saves you a money and time. Good Luck!

btw, where did you find out abt all these? do you know where to get the service manual for 2nd-gen TL's,? I want to figure out what fancy stuff can i do with the electronics in that car..

Hmm. i tried it and it didnt work. The yellow plug which i plugged out was the one with two green wires. i disconnected the wire and inserted my paperclip ino that plug to connect the two wires. when i turn on my ignition, the SRS light didnt go off after many seconds..

any idea?

did you try it acouple times? i had to do it 3 times to get it to work

as for a manual this is the best!
