Squeaking front seat

Does anybody else have this problem? I noticed when my music was off that movements i made would cause my chair to squeak. Especially back and forth, just curious if this was common.

lol I'm glad i'm not the only one, but yet, thats sad everybody has this issue. I'll try some wd40 and let you guys know. But yes, it makes me feel uneasy about the seat, even though I'm sure its proven to be safe.

try this, hold the buckle of your seat belt and move back and forth. I've had this problem too and it turns out that the seat belt is tugging on pivoting buckle. Try WD40ing that part.

..are you sure its not your seat-belt? I know my seat-belt squeaks a lot whenever I'm wearing it.

My passenger side does it too, sounds like a spring under the seat - it comes from the seat cushion, on the side nearest the door...

This happens to me as well, I believe specifically on the passenger seat, and it's not really when people are moving back and forth, its more like when I'm driving down a road with various bumps on it. It is SOO annoying. Especially when the radio is down and the car is silent. >.<

yeah I sounds to me like the springs, I used to think it was the buckle. Either way, its annoying and makes me feel like my car is cheap.

No mean to thread jack but since we're on the subject of squeaking and creaking, I was wondering if anyone gets a creaking from the passenger side dashboard?

Or is it just me??

try using wd40 or there are some greases in a spray can, but not as a liquid like wd40, its a bit thicker, and will stick to the rails..

if anything grease all bolts and metal on metal contacts.

I have a friend who likes to bounce and squeak to the music. its very annoying, squeaky squeaky. turning the music up is the easiest solution. my 95 accord does it even worse!

I think my passenger side squeaks. It only does it when you turn a certain way. I think my car is pretty tight for a 02 so, a small squeak that I only hear every now and then is fine with me. But my sunroof is starting to make a creeking noise and there is a rattle in my trunk roof.

Sounds like you need to lubricate the channels where the sunroof slides, it's probably pretty dry and/or gunked up. I'd recommend cleaning it first before lubricating. I'm not sure but I think you're supposed to use lithium grease.
