Spring options

Ok, right now I have H&R Sports (50103) and it looks great. The problem is road rash on the front lip! I'm probably going to have my car repainted soon, and I would like to get a little more clearence up front to help. Can I just have the OE front springs put on and keep the sport rears? I remember reading the 50103 are really using the OE rears, so this should be fine, right?

Hard to see the damage (and the fact that the bumper is not the same color as the rest of the car ) but this is the current drop..

we do not have this confirmed, it's just all rumors

but with different spring rate and height it might change your car's cornering balance

I wouldn't interchange the springs. As mentioned, I'd think it would have some impact on the car's handling. Not to mention, the car looks really sweet the way it is.
If you do get it repainted, maybe xpel the front end to help it from further chipping.
btw: sidemarker looks sick !

man, ive got the same color, same problem! id just get it repainted and put maybe a rubber strip or somethin underneath? i dunno. our u could search for the older Comptech springs, the ones w/ like the 1.5 drop in the front and 1 in teh back. if not, get the OE's or the Teins H-Tech springs.

Hmm. I got the sports and I live with rock filled highways in Colorado. No front end rash yet, been about 3 months now. Hmm? Not sure why you are getting that.

It's not just the bottom of the lip, which I can understand because damn near every speedbump I hit scraps, but the front too. I guess it's some rock, but there are some big scratches on it too..I really don't know how I got a lot of them . The paint place I'm using is booked until Feb so I have at least a month to figure something out. If anyone knows for sure if the HR OE rears are what is used in the HR Sport application, getting the HR OE fronts put on my car would be the same as replacing my sports with OEs, and also save me install/alignment costs, which would be nice . I guess I should email HR but they probably wouldn't admit to that heh.
