SPRING INSTALL...plz give me some advice...
This what the dealership wrote me back through e mail when i asked for the spring install...
The labor to install 4 new lowering springs including a 4 wheel alignment is
$355.00 + g.s.t. The warranty is only affected if a component fails as a
result of the modification. Service dept. is currently taking bookings for
Sept 04th onwards.
Regards,
Dean
now the $355 is canadian $....and I think that they mean if the springs run out, its my fault...but i've read some posts saying when the dealer intstalled the springs they took care of the shock absorber problem of them runing out faster...
what should i do?! this is a quote from 1 of 2 dealers in my city, and its a smaller dealer...i think i should ask the price at the other dearler and try to work my price around...
advice would be very appreciated...
thanks a bunch

Having installed many a pair of new struts, and most recently H&R springs on my TL, $350 Canadian for sprng installation AND alignment is a good price - especially if doing it yourself is out of the question.

That's US$226.55 according to a currency converter. That's a decent price for install and alignment considering it's a dealer that's doing it. I say go for it after you've done some research and seen some of their work. Just b/c it's a dealer doesn't mean they can't fvck up your car bad.
