You dont even need the internet
Get out the phone book yellow pages for auto paint supply stores
They supply all the local body/paint shops
Give them the paint code and they will put it in a spray can for you

If you are looking to shoot the engine cover- most paint shops will do it for 20 bucks

agree. (other than the 20 dollar paint job)

also you can buy auto paint in raw form (by the pint, quart etc.. (just ask them to reduce it for you) and use this to spray it

http://www.paintscratch.com has paint that's a good match for SSM. I painted my mudflaps with their paint and the match is great.

I've used paintscratch for touch-up when I backed into a guardrail. I agree they do an excellent job on the color match. They also sell primer and clearcoat so you can do the job right.

I just visited the paintscratch website. I have a couple of question about the whole touch up process. I have a couple of scratches all the way across the back section of my trunk down to the primer of maybe even the sheet metal. So to repair this I would use the wax and grease remover, then the Base Coat, Mid Coat, Clear Coat, Finally rubbing compound. How do you know when the blend is good? Just wanna know if there are any techniques recommended as I know nothing about this whole touch up process. Thanks

You will know when the blend is good when you have a hard time seeing it. Sometimes it helps to build the area up higher than the original and wetsand it down and smooth. then polish the area out.

your getting a deal for 20 bucks. Most would charge 50-100 min. I get a discount on the paint and it would cost me 20 bucks to buy just enough material to spray it.

If your down to the sheet metal you should use a primer pen, let the primer sit for a day, then lightly sand it down, and then finally do the rest.

Build Up

When yo say build up do you mean put an extra layer of clear coat. Finally you use the rubbing compund with the wetsand?

build it up. yea, make sure that you are filing the scratch completely not leaving it low. build up the clear coat so that there is a surface to sand down and blend into the original paint. No, you wetsand (3m makes small sanding blocks for this type of work) then after every thing is wetsanded to blend, then you use polishing compounds to bring back the shine
