sport shift Q #2

hey guys and gals let me know if you've noticed this also w/ your ss mode.
Taking off from a light in ss at 1/2 to full thottle (just that quick burst until cruising speed) the tranny shifts from 1st to 2nd fine, but then soon after its in 2nd i'm ready to ease off the gas and shift to 3rd,but it doest shift when i hit the shifter the 1st time so i give it a second tap and it shifts.
I'm thinking it hasnt been in second gear long enough to aknowledge to request for 3rd but it really sucks.
also, possibly related, i have about a 1.5 sec lag time from first hitting the shifter to the rpms indicating a complete gear change,Is this lag time excessive?

yes, there is a lag time & there's the difference b/w ss & manual shift. i didn't count the time but it should be less than 1 sec.

Sometimes I have to keep hitting the shifter four or five times to get it to acknowledge the upshift.. just depends on the rpms... and what the tranny had for dinner last night

It does depend on the RPM's vs. Vehicle Speed vs. Throttle Position vs. Engine Load etc.....

If it's outside of the mapping envelope then it won't shift either up or down.
