Splash guards coming off
I'm taking off my spash guards as we speak in preparation for a possible body kit. Question though. Do the screws go back into the wheel well? The plastic around the wheel well feels kinda loose. Do those of you without splash guards have screws there?

yes the screws go back to plug the holes and hold the wheel well to the body frame.
I reccomend Meguiars Scratch X tyo get rid of the scuff marks the gaurds leave on the car.
And for anybody with splash guards on, if you really need them, leaver them, but if it is not a necessity, take them off ASAP, they leave scuff marks and scratches in the paint, especially if dirt builds up behind them.

Fortunately, any scratches were minimal and were polished out. I just want the option to put the kit on at some point. I put the screws back in on the front wells, but I don't know if these go into the back wells still. When someone gets a chance, can you see if there are screws in the back wheel wells?
On my drive to work today, I noticed extra splashing onto the black paint that previously was blocked by the guards. Ahh well....

I have an estimate for a body kit installed at $1310. 935 for the kit, 275 labor and then tax. If I buy from them (dealer) and install myself, then I don't get it for 935. If I buy elsewhere and let them install it, I don't get the lower labor rate. If I buy somewhere else, cheapest I've seen is this site, 867 or so plus 125 shipping which is more than the dealer price. Honda dealer wanted $1587 (higher labor rate). If I get the kit, I'll sell you my mud guards. Debating...
Also, I'm assuming that if I install the side kits only, then the sides are lower than the rest of the car. Not sure why they're sold separately unless you wanna look odd.

I have always wondered why they are sold separately too. Maybe in case you just need to replace one part. Though that would probably be just the front piece (speed bumps).

The salesman did say that some people opt not to get the front piece because of clearance. Do they meet pretty well on the bottom, or are the sides visibly longer?
