A-Spec vs Mazda 6
I took on a new mazda 6 yesterday evening...i was at the lights and a yellow one pulled up beside me..he looked over at me and started reving his engine...i smirked put it in SS ,disabled the vsc
and when the light turned green we were off...that car is quick but he wasnt a real threat ....i was ahead all the way not sure of the distance we travelled i turned of when the speed got to high..it felt nice to smoke em..i almost bought that car before i decided on the A-Spec. not reall sure on its horsepower but think iits around 220.
BTW for those of you who have checked out my ride ...i will be changing my wheels to the Konig Imagines...i was getting to many negative comments...it was pissing me of

yah I test drove a Mazda 6. Don't brush them off like they're nothing, but they aren't quite as fast as the A-Spec. They could for sure use some more torque, cause that car doesn't get going very well. Also, I found when I put the pedal to the floor at about 100 km/h, the engine definitely doesn't pull you as much as the A-Spec. All in all, the Mazda is amazing value, but the A-Spec is hands down a faster car.

I think you may have the numbers wrong. The Mazda 6 V6 is 0-60 in about 6.8 seconds, and the TL-S is about 6.4...this is according to some C & D, but we all know how hard it is too achieve these numbers.
Yah maybe 6.7 is more realistic for our TL-S.

I use
Daniel Heraud's reviews on Carpoint - he posts specs and stats for almost all 2003 cars in his reviews -
Acceleration: 0-60 mph in 6.9 sec. 1/4-mile in 15.4 sec. (TL-S)
0-60 mph in 7.7 sec. 1/4-mile in 15.9 sec. (Mazda6)
must be my dislexia shaving off the .2 seconds from our TL-S's

I killed a mazada 6 auto in the Mazada Rev it up event. i don't even think a mazada 6 is any threat to the TLS. I gunned a mazada 6 and it lagged. And i'm not sure if then have turbo or anything. At least we have VTECH you know.

i killed a mazda 6 in my tlp on the freeway he had 2 other people in the car but i wasnt like 10 cars infront it took a while from 60 to start pulling on it. when i got near 80 i was near a car infront and we all know how it is from 80 to 100 mph i ended up a few cars infront of him and when i hit 4th gear he was catching up and then i started to pull on him again. i love my mirrors... yes i know its better to keep eyes on the road in front but its great to see how far you left them behind

I killed on on the way to Daytona for the Spring Break shows. We messed around on 95s for about 10 miles. It was no contest at all, really. It is, however, a great looking car. I'm very impressed by it...
