Diplomat, you can't go wrong with the Denso Iridiums, they give a much better spark than our stock platinums. Different metals have different characteristics, Iridium can take more heat than platinum.

I was thinking of changing the sparks as well. I was told the Bosche 4's were really good. Chemmech, how long have you had them in and how do you like it?

i changed mine about a month ago at 54k miles.. Didn't know if the previous owner changed the plugs or not, so i decided to replace them..

i put in bosch plat. regular plugs.. THe ones that are $1.xx something.. The ones i took out were bosch +4's.. ANyways, after doing the change, i noticed no difference at all. Probably bcause the +4's didn't have that many miles on them... So if your looking to get bosch, get the regulars, or even the +2's.. THere cheaper..

If you want iridium, NGK also makes them, there a lil cheaper than the densos i think... They used to have some on ebay, maybe they still do..

For the mods you have, you want a colder plug so go with the ik20, The IK16's are for non modified motors or modified accord motors. Keep in mind that they only last about 30k miles.

I heard Bosh spark plug especially the +4 tip is not working right for our car, I recall couple of the member said that after they put the Bosh spark plug in their car, their car act up so they took the car into the deal and they diagnos and said that the spark plug was miss fire due to the bosh spak plug. and i also change mine to bosh plat. aswell and now that noises coming from the engine and it always feels like it want to stall.

i call the dealer up and they wanted $20 for the NGK Plat. spark plug, so my question to you guy is that is it how much it cost for the NGK spark plug or are they trying to over change me??

TIA

Oh shnap! Sorry for the late reply. I like the Bosche platinum 4's alot. I know alot of people will say plugs don't make a difference, but these are just my impressions. The Bosche platy fours make the car feel noticealby alittle more torquier at lower rpm's. I also have these plugs on my old jeep (267k miles on it), and instead of filling my tank once a week, now I only fill it every week and a half, but the old plugs were like over a year old so that might of caused the difference. No problems with the Bosche 4's yet, only have about 12k miles on them so far on the Acura.

Go to www.ngk.com
The platinum costs you $2.68 each, the double platinum costs you $11.71 each and the IX iridium costs you $6.95 each. You may order them online.

I just had mine replaced by the dealer under warranty. Apparently that's what was causing my rough idling issues. I was an idiot not to have asked for them too NOT put the stock spark plugs in. I should have asked them to replace them with Bosch Platinum 4's while they were at it. Oh well, as long as I don't have rough idling anymore.

BTW which spark plugs does acura use as their stock ones?

Bosche plugs make a difference, however they run abit hotter than the Denso's. I had to replace my Bosche Platy 4's with Denso's this weekend, the blower kit had plugs included in it so why not. When I pulled the Bosche's out they were brown and discolored, only like 2k miles on the. Maybe they run a little hot. They never gave me any driveability problems though. The Bosche's felt like they improved lower end torque, imo.
