Someone threw a brick through my rear windshield!
Parked on the street of my girlfriend's house overnight - come out in the morning to see this:
By now the whole windshield is falling in, it looks even worse. Talked to the cop when I filed a police report, apparently a number of other cars got hit in the same area. If you look closely you can see not only did it mess up the windshield, it also messed up the roof too, so it has to go to the body shop to get the roof repaired.
Too bad they'll never catch who did this, I'd love a couple mins alone with them...
Oh yeah, I have a $1000 deductible... And this is less than a week after someone clipped my driver side mirror (on the same street no less), but since it's a seperate incident I can't combine them into one payment and just pay the deductible once.
On the bright side I had scratched my tint taking out the stock subwoofer, so now I'll have a scratch free rear windshield, and I get to drive my gf's GS 430 for the next couple weeks...

The back window/roof is such a big job that you should find a body shop that'll work the numbers and charge the insurance comapny for the mirror on the downlow. hope it works out.

That is hilarious!!! Not what happened to your car, but the newbie's comment below. Sorry to hear about your ride. Tell you girl to leave her GS out in the street and park your joint in the garage.

Is La Canada as nice as Pasadena? Pasadena is an extremely nice area....particularly around the Ritz-Carlton over there. Damn...that sucks.

sorry to hear that... when my jeep was broken into i was so pissed that i went to the same parking lot the night after with a few friends and waited to see if anyone was gonna break into a car... and sure enough a bunch of kids showed up and tried to break into an accord... and well.... we confronted them.... they got the message.... trust me...
just an idea you might want to try out.. i know its not the most mature thing to do but that was the first time my car was ever vandalized and i was really pissed!!

Unfortunately my gf lives in the really nice section, so all the houses are far back from the street, hidden behind a row of trees in the front, so I didn't hear a thing...

Fire, Theft & Vandalism usually do not have the same deductable as your comprhensive coverage. Read your policy and you may find out it is covered in full provided you have that coverage. Hope it works out for you. For others that may read this thread, FTV insurance is realitively cheap and always worth having on your ride.

Yeah it turns out I still have the $1000 deductible, although since the body shop said the damage was $3,900 it still saves my ass (they have to fix the roof, fix the window, then repaint roof, trunk, and both rear quarter panels).
