Post Some Info about Audi S4 Turbo failures

http://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/383505.phtml

Seems a lot more common in the 2000 models than the 2001. Looks like whatever the problem was Audi got it fixed the next year.

You have to figure a certain number of failures are caused from bone heads abusing their cars.

Wow, I was seriously considering the S4 and you bet I will chip if I have one. I know 3 people who got the S4, one chipped and two stock. They have hold up pretty well.

The reason why I didn't buy the S4 is becuase their gearbox doesn't feel as smooth as the Bimmer and the Honda.

But wait for a while and you will see that the 01 M3 got problems as well. Didn't read anything off the net but one of my friend who just got his M3 said it's just a nightmare... He said that he rather have the gearbox on his previous car- E36 328.

He said the first & second gear are rough and indeed makes some weird sound...
