Question So what happens when...

you get a new keyless entry remote? Does it automatically adjust to the correct memory seat setting (1 or 2)? How do you specify that you want it to "tie" into 1, or 2?

Thanks!

the instructions are on the back of the remote. Hold the lock and unlock at the same time to link and unlink.

Yea, I know how to set the remote. But the 2 that you get from the dealer are set to 1 or 2. Remote 1 and Remote 2 is specific to 1 and 2 respectively for the memory seats.

Thanks!

Yes, I know that too.

What i'm trying to say is when you get a NEW remote, how do you make it tie into 1 or 2? In other words, how does the new remote know that it is a 1 or a 2?

Sorry for being unclear.

Thanks!

I think he's referring to aftermarket remotes. Not the Acura ones. I dont know the answer to this, but would like to know.
