So what do we do with the TL after 100k

I am 21 right now and I estimate I will hit 100k on my TL by the time I am 23 or 24. If the tranny fails after that I am screwed, I mean there is no sure solution to this tranny problem. Once again my tranny went this past week. Well it didnt go but my car was in the shop for normal service and they said my tranny fluid was burnt and are getting me a new tranny. THats the third tranny I am getting not counting the original. Acura took care of me by giving me a rental, but whos going to take care of the tranny after 100k.

There must be something we can do.

Any law student up in here.

Upgraded transmission...Save now over time you should have more than enough for a heavy duty tranny, if you really want to keep your car after the 100,000 mile mark

I agree. I wanted to change cars after 100k. But my friend was telling me, why not just get an upgraded one or perhaps have the dealer replace the tranny. Honda engines are great even after 100k, why waste a perfectly good car?

I have been thinking about this as well b eing at 85K miles. How much does an "upgraded Transmission" cost (parts & Install)?

Shouldn't acura be paying for an "upgraded" tranny? Why should we pay out of pocket to fix the problem?
