Snow tires for A-Spec

I'm looking for really good snow tires and rims for the winter. Can anyone suggest a type of tire I should get? and is it crucial for me to get 17" tires, or can I go any smaller? and what rims should I use?

if you have these for sale, please let me know on a price.

thanks

you shouldnt have a prob. with running some 16"s off of a tl prem. the tires are sure to be cheaper in 16" vs. 17"

I'd go with 16's. More rubber = more flex to shake out the snow and cheaper tires too.

What I did is call all the GTA Acura dealers for 16 inch Acura TL take off rims and found some for $140 each.

In terms of snow tire if its just GTA driving, go with an H rated snow like the Nokian WR or Pilot sport. If you're going to cottage country then you may want more of a true snow tire.

Call Dave at Steelcase Tires in markham. He'll take care of you.

P.S. Once you get the snows, toss out those POS MXM4's and get some real Z rated summers (sp9000, T1S, firehawk SZ50, etc.)

Like hemants said make sure you get good tires.... I got the Michellin Alpine Sport. and love em... They are a bit pricy, but you get what you pay for.

As for rims ... you could go for steel rims if you are short on $$

You should be looking around $1K if you want to do it right.
