Small question....

I was wondering, this is my third car, and i bought it used through Navy federal Credit union, as I am navy. I bought my 2003 TL-S for 18,500. Is that good, i mean it only had 41,000 miles on it. i dont know if the speedometer was rolled back or nothing.....just wondering before i really start to upgrade my car heavily......thanks for any insights....

we cant tell you if it was rolled back any better than you. But its not to easy to do with these. If they are tampered with they show a error. These odometers arent like the old ones where there was mechanical wheel to rool back. they are computer controlled

I wouldn't worry about the mileage inaccuracies. I've seen plenty of 03s with the mileage ranging from 22K to 50K. I don't know if you ran a Carfax on it, but that may tell you if there's a red flag on odometer rollback. Enjoy your new ride.

Welcome to the never ending world of TL modding!

Go to www.acura.com click owner link/owner experience
and register your car by its VIN number- thats acuras warranty info computer and will know if there is any recall or warranty things you need to address right away
Plus you can store your radio security code there for free.

Also call and register with them at 1-800-382-2238 x 5 6am to 5 pm pacific time
they are on a different computer and have other info, like warranty work performed, owner changes- where first sold etc, plus will record you as new owner should there ever be recall needed.
Just ask them to look up history on your car.

Enjoy- these are great cars!

Definitely register the car as 01tl4tl suggested.

Since you have a 2003 TL you'll want to know if your particular TL is covered by the 109,000 mile/93 month extended warranty on the transmission. All 1999-2002 TLs have that coverage but only some of the 2003 TLs do. Whether or not your particular car is covered depends on the VIN number.

This is important since the second generation TLs have serious transmission reliability problems. A out-of-warranty transmission replacement can run well over $3,000.

Also you might want to reconsider the addition of the 8000K HID bulbs. You will lose useable light on the road with Kelvin ratings above the stock 4300K.
