Look at this! I wonder if those guys know yet (cl.com)?

http://motortrend.com/features/news/112_news32/

I can't believe that they are dropping the car this year after doing the r&d to stick a 6spd in it!!!

Those guys should be pissed...

This has been in Acura's plans for a while. I remember hearing something about the CL's being canceld months ago. Apparently they just don't sell very well (well, relative to everything else Honda sells ).

cancelled cl

I've been hearing they were going to cancel the CL since before it even got the 6speed, surprised they did that and the car lasted as long as it did...

Autoweek says that Honda dropped the CL in order to afford the redesigned TL that is coming out.

This is pretty old news. We knew on the CL board in March when Honda made their official announcement. Don't worry though... acl isn't going anywhere

The CL is dying due to fierce competitions from other brands such as the G35 coupe. The 240 hp 6-speed Accord coupe goes another step further to put the final nails into the CL coffin.

Very true--I think the Accord Coupe is one of the nicer "inexpensive" (in today's market!) coupes out there. It has a nicer profile than the CL, (which just doesn't look as balanced as its 4 door sibling) especially around the rear quarter panel.
One thing the demise of the CL will do is a niche market for used CL's: the 6 speed will probably bring premium prices down the road, due to its rarity . . .

"Acura has no plans to make another sports coupe,"

That sucks... They need SOMETHING between an RSX and an NSX...
