Should I Be Worried
I posted this over at the Cl board, and thought that someone here could help.
When I use the SS and down shift from 3rd to 2nd, the transmission automatically up shifts into 3rd. I know that I am down shifting since i am pulling the shift lever and pushing on it. I have taken the car to the dealer and they have been able to duplicate the problem, but can't figure out how to solve the problem.
The car has 8600 miles, is not driven hard and hve usd the SS maybe 5-10 times.

well if the dealer is able to duplicate the problem i bet it has nothing to do with the rpm. the dealer should be smart enough to know the cause is the rpm being too high, if that's the case.
while i dn't know why that happens (and no it doesn't happen to my car) i think you should give the car to the dealer and have them figure it out, no matter they have to change the transmission or whatever

If it's just flashing, that's normal. Your just at too high of rpm. The same thing will happen in 4th when trying to shift into 3rd at over 85mph.
