Thank God I found this board! I've been trying to decide on whether or not I should get the Type S, and this board has been very helpful. I love reading about and looking at all of your TL's. I pretty much decided that I was going to get it until I started reading about the transmission problems. I did a search for subjects that contained "transmission" and jeez there were a lot of post! So, should I wait until Acura addresses the transmission issue or just say screw it and go buy one???? My mind says "wait", but my heart says "Go get it stupid!". Please let me know what you guys think. Thanks in advance for your advice.

I say go for it!

The tranny problems are only affecting a small percentage of the owners on this board wich are only a small percentage of the total TL-S out there!

So the real questions should be..
What color are you looking at? 02 or 03??
What options? Navigation?

Good Luck with your purchase. You should be able to get an awesome deal on a 02 TL-S right now if that's what you want.

Well, you just need to know what you are getting and what you are paying for...

The car is build in US instead of Japan, it's Based on the Accord platform (which is perfectly fine and cost saving)

But many people do encouter big and small problems like you will with any other cars out there.

I got tons small problems with my TL but guess what, I still think it's worth the money. Cuz I paid less then a ES300, or Bimmer let's say.
