Should I buy this?

Should I buy this?
Hey everyone, been reading the forums for a while as I've been hoping to purchase a 2G TL for the past while. Anyways, I came across a particular one which I'm thinking very very hard about buying :
2003 Acura TL - $10,000 (canadian)
It's silver, bone-stock, and only has 30,000 miles on it. No accidents, no damage, mint condition. Obviously I'll get a carfax report and have a mechanic look it over, but is it a good deal or what? Judging from the others in my area, its price is amazingly low for its mileage.
Thanks in advance,
Amir

But for some reason all the used cars in my area are ridiculously expensive, it's as if people have no concept of depreciation. A 98 TL can run for $10,000 around here on the buysell/craigslist/autotrader, so I figured an 03 for 10,000 is a steal.

Alright, I'm giving the guy a call tonight, it's way too good to pass up. I'm sure some other people are thinking the exact same thing, so I'm not going to wait till tomorrow morning.
Anyways, the infamous tranny plague doesn't really worry me too much as I hear Acura has a decent warranty. My only question is how many years/miles is the warranty good for? And does it matter that I'm in Canada?

It doesn't matter that you are in Canada, but it does matter that its a 2003 model. Not ALL 2003's were covered. Get the vin and call acura's support number and let them tell you if its covered under the warranty.
I still say used the money saved to do a 6-speed conversion

I would worry if it's that cheap. In Ontario ... and it's imported from the US ... you don't know what happened to that car when it was in the US. Hopefully a Carfax will show why it's so cheap.
I know for a fact that Ontario wipes the previous history from an originally titled car from the US to Ontario ... I don't know why, but it's true. There are people in Windsor who import trashed cars in the US, import it here, then export it back to the US to "clean" the title. It's shady business.
And there are many unscrupulous car dealers who will flip salvaged / flooded cars and try and pawn it off as "clean" in Ontario. I know a guy who bought a 2001 5-series (US car) for an unbelievable price at a local used car dealership ... a month later after buying it ... electrical problems. Finds out later it was a salvaged car (flood damage).
I would personally walk away from that one. Too good to be true ... because it is! I would never buy a US-based car from anyone unless I was the one importing it or the paperwork is extensive (full records / maintenance) and complete. No way I'd ever take someone's word.
Spend your C$10k on something else.

Btw try to get some Warrenty for the Tranny on ur car from the dealer ur buying it from cuz u gonna need it..
i have a bad feeling as to why the Car is only 10 thousand CND.. i bought mine for 13 thousand CND and it had like 110 thousand kilometers (70 k miles) on it
when cars get imported from US to canada, are they converted from miles to Kilometers?
if yes, then ignore the follwoing, if not, then is the car is in miles or kilometers?
