Should i buy this 02 TL type s?

First and only owner of this 2002 Acura 3.2TL Type-S with Navigation.

Color: Dark Emerald / Green
Mileage: Nearly 94,000

- Completed the 90k mile service - brakes in good condition.
- All four tires (Michelin MXM4) replaced 5,000 miles ago
- Service records available

it's also a clean title... but i've read up on the infamous tranny problems...

is there anything else that i should ask him before i go check it out tomorrow?

check to see if the tranny has been replaced, look for blue painted bolts on the tranny that's a sign its been replaced. At that mileage be prepared to do the 105k service, timing belt, water pump, valve adjustment. also check to see if any motor mounts are cracked or leaking fluid, or have excess movement, motor mounts do often need attention on these cars.

^^Hit the nail on the head. Tranny Recall was/is a big issue with these cars. and yes 105k service doesnt hurt to do early. time for timing belt, waterpump, plugs, and valve adjustments. All the info on those are in the DIY section.

the 90 is just a basic service,,not the big 105 service it needs soon based on age
must be a dealer maintained car to have the stock tires used as replacements
Most go aftermarket

be VERY aware of the serious trans failure prob- the recall had NOTHING to do with the failure issue of weak oiling causes early clutch wearout
its $2500 to rebuild your trans

call `acura care` with the VIN and ask for `pre buy history ck`- what repairs done under warranty and any OPEN recalls 1 800 382 2238 x5 gets a human

Ask the owner where service was performed in the cars life- the shop will have records
by 90 there isnt much required,,at 60 it was supposed to get brake and ps fluid flushed- that rarely happens and leads to caliper problems and rack failure
