Ok my first question is, when my TL shifts, it revs a little higher than I'd like and then the shift is a bit slow. Does anyone know of a tuning parameter to change this? Then what ATF fluid should I use? And where is the cheapest place to get a replacement key besides the dealer?

 

the key has a special chip in it to enable the security system- try one of the dealers that advertise here

You can buy replacement alarm remotes online, but there are different ones and you have to get the exact same or no go

The trans should shift low if you use easy throttle 2500 is normal shift. Hold the pedal down and it will run to redline for you.
Any delay in shift can be trans failure symptom. All the known symptoms in the transmisiion failure thread here, and at acura.com

you need you VIN number- its free account and after signed in and car logged in - look under recall section
If it says recall june 2004 FIXED or DONE thats the oil sprayer
the next line should say Warranty Extension TL00-03 yadyada
thats the extended trasn warranty we get, and even if not covered we can get you help.

also register at 1 800 382 2238 x5 ands ask them first date in service

Use only Honda atf, but look that stuff up and report back for more help

Ik how the transmission handles but on some cars theres a parameter to the shift. As far as the trannys condition, its guesstimate, the car is running with a solid shift, no slips, with 149k on the odometer. Its a 99' too, so theres a chance that it was swapped, but not to my knowledge.
