I noticed like a month ago that I had two big, round, off white patches on my hood. I looked under the hood to see if it could have been heat but the hood lining looked fine. I don't know WTF it could have come from. Sh!tty paint? Plus also noticed that my doors doesn't have the exact same color as the rest of the car. I freakin got service and forgot to bring that up...DAMN.

My car is around 16 months old and I haven't noticed any problems with my paint (knock on wood).

There is nothing wrong w/ my paint either. It might be all that acid rain you guys get over there! j/k.

Dealers sometimes have damage on the cars, either due to negligence, accident, or sometimes just in shipping. They just get the damage on the cars repainted and sell the car. A few years down the road, someone wonders why a panel doesn't match. Sucks, but it does happen. Also, the plastic bumper on the cars often do not match perfectly b/c the paint reacts differently to the different substrates, and the bumper paint has an additive which make it more flexible so it doesnt flake off if the bumper is flexed.
The hood definitely sounds like something external affected it. Sorry to hear about that tho.
