setting homelink garage opener

have a 99 TL and just bought a Wayne Dalton door opener, which has the rolling codes but no luck setting the link. i tried the www.homelink.com site which has instructions. however, one problem is that the homelink in my car does not have indicator lights built into it - maybe its an older version. anyways, has anyone been able to set the homelink with a rolling code garage system? any tips would be appreciated.

are you sure you don't have the lights? i have a 2000 and have the lights but im pretty sure the 99s should have it too. i programmed my rolling code door opener according to the lights, so without it, i'm not sure how you'd do it.

what does the owner's manual say?

hold the outter two buttons for at least 20 seconds to reset code.
push and hold button to program, and also push and hold button on garage door opener.. then you need to use the garage doors training button, mine is on the opener itselft by the light, yours may be different, anyway hit that training button then get in the car and hit the button on homelink you are trying to program twice, (My garage lights blink when i do this)then the third time it should open or shut the garage door. If you can try to locate the user manual to your door opener online.

you need to have a remote, set the system to the remote, then set it to the garage door.
thats super simplified because i dont feel like going into details.

i called homelinsk 800 number, they had me setup in 2 mins and it works great with a rolling code door.
