Is there any source where I can get a service manual for the TLS? Helm doesn't seem to have any - I want to install the headers myself, and the Comptech instructions refer often to the factory service manual. Would a manual for an earlier year work for installing the headers?

I got mine directly from Helm about three weeks ago. You need to order the '99-01 FSM and the '02 FSM supplement to completely cover the entire vehicle. Total for both was about $100. There is also a body manual and an electrical diagnositcs manual, but seeing as 99% of the body is covered in the FSM and basic wiring diagrams are also included those two seemed redundant.

Maybe Jens or wayneg could enlighten us on why/when the body and electrical manuals are needed when all of it seems to be in the basic manual.

BTW, these are the easiest-reading manuals for Japanese cars I have ever owned.

Is Helm the only place to order these from, or do they have any third-party sellers? The reason I ask is because helminc.com indicates that they're out of the 99-01 FSM (61S0K02), but not the supplement. I'd like to be able to put the headers on when they arrive, and I'm not sure when they'll get the stuff back in stock. Has anyone installed the headers themselves? Is it overly complicated, or pretty easy to figure out using the Comptech installation instructions?

AFAIK, Helm is the only place you can get the manuals. I'm not sure if the supplement has enough in it for you to do the headers, depending on how much you want to take apart.
