Service Maintenance Required light came on at 67,000; What's it for?

I just bought the car when it had 63,800 miles on it, and it was last serviced at 59,600. The Service Maintenance Required light came on around 67,000 miles. Is that just for an oil change, or is it for more? If it's for more, what exactly do I need to have done?

How often should I have an oil change with this car? Should I put synthetic in it, or is that not necessary? When is it necessary? What grade of oil should I use?

Thanks.

Did your car come with an Owner's Manual? If so, Step 1: Read the Owner's Manual. If you still have questions after that, post again.

here is the FREE owner manual link
You have encountered a light that flashes on first start of the day? thats oil change reminder - you reset it on the dash every oil change- starts warning you about 6500 miles since reset
your choice regular or sythetic oil

All it does is tell you when to change the oil. It will start to flash when you get close to the 7500 mile mark from the last time it was reset. If you ignore it long enough, it will stay on solid if I'm not mistaken. Read the owner's manual to find out how to reset it or do a Search for "reset maintenance light".

FYI: You can find answers to many of your questions by searching. More than likely, your questions have been answered a 1000 times.

some people write the oil change mileage in the owner book ro record it on their acura.com account for safekeeping
