Serious question about Comptech springs.....
Hey guys,
If I do get the comptechs, what would happen to my shocks? I am hearing they would eventually wear within a year. Is this true? For all of you who has comptechs on right now, are you or did you have any serious problems? Thanks,

I was going to get Comptechs until I heard that I have to change the shocks too. It is not mandatory but your stock shocks will wear out. If you are going to get it, then purchase the Koni shocks with it. It will save you some trouble down the road.
So I decided to get the Apex'i coilovers soon because it comes with shocks also. And it is height adjustable. That way I can slammed it for shows/gatherings and put it back to normal for the winter.

I've had my Comptech springs on for over a year and no problems with my stock shocks - still ride smooth. AcuraTL has his on for 2 years and still going strong. Don't worry about getting new shocks right away, Comptech keeps it within factory specs.

TLDaddy is right. The comptechs were specifically designed for the TL with the stock shocks in mind. I have had my comptechs in for almost a year now running on 18" rims with no problems what so ever.

Streeteffectz and TLDaddy,
Thanks for responses! I am glad that you guys have no problems. Personally, I just want to do it because of looks. I will not be riding my car hard. Thanks again,
