Sell the wife, keep the TL?
I just signed up for this forum, and I read some of the jokes about selling the wife and keeping the TL.
I'm curious. Anyone know how many men own these cars vs. women? Our 2001 TL is my wifes' car.
We bought it new in March 2001, and it only has 26,000 miles on it now. I can honestly say I think I've driven it maybe 10 times or so. I've washed it and changed it's oil much more than I've ever driven it.
The car is a little too "soft" for my personal tastes, but it is just an awesome car.
Strangely enough, after 2 1/2 years and so few miles, she has also grown tired of it. She wants more of a sports sedan than what the 2001 TL can offer. She's a car lover like me, and feels her current car is more of a highway cruiser than she wants. We're looking at the new TL and the G35.
So do you think I could sell the TL and the wife?:lol2: While I'm happy to help her get a new car, I'm just a little nervous about getting rid of this car. The new TL is spectacular, but expensive and selling at sticker and above. The G35 is a true drivers car sports sedan. A blast to drive. But the rear drive and some minor quality issues concern me (not to mention I am not super fond of the interior). But they are offering great deals on it.
I'm very curious if other people have wives who own these the second generation TL and what they think of it?
Steve
