I had that same problem when i did the same mod to mine. never looked in to it but I was wondering if the better flow is making the rear mufflers make the noise till warm.

I also hear that sound until my exhaust system is warmed up. I removed both resonators, too.

What is the life expectancy on our OEM mufflers? Maybe they just need new bearings?

Make sure you use the High Temp Heat grease with these bearings this time... maybe they will last longer!

Maybe I should have put the second sentence in red. I was being serious with the first one.

If someone thought you were serious with your second sentence then they probably need to check their blinker fluid as well...

Lol anyone with a legit solution? Or is the tinnyness the price to pay for a more agressive exhaust tone? Lol

I don't have headers.
I have the inatake resonator removed and both exhaust resonators removed.

I was wondering if I should put the smaller one back on or the bigger one to avoid that tin can exhaust note.....

I also hate how the smaller one hangs so low at the original spot. I would scrape some speed bumps since my car is lowered to about 1/2 finger gap all around.

should i put the smaller one back on, but into the place where the bigger one use to be?

heres a question. When you guys removed your mid muffler and resonator, did you have them cut each item out then weld on the pipes? or did some of you just chop the whole section out and have them redo the whole mid section? Because i'm going to the shop today and the dude said he'll replace my whole mid section insted of hacking it up. i think it would flow better

Sounds like a muffler issue. Ive had both mine out almost since day one and never had that noise with the OEM mufflers.

Another question to add, since I learned the hard way on the tin sound on cold start when removing the resonators, I decided on this second TL I have to unbolt the rear mufflers just the experiment to see how it sounds and I actually like it. Nice sound like a slightly louder 350Z. I want to just weld on new pipes where the mufflers were and throw the exhaust tips back on. I'm worried how the final sound will be. Anybody have some input?

Just a thought, not sure if it has been cover yet....

From what I can find out the TLp has 2" exhaust and the TLs has 2.25" exhaust...
Has anyone with a TLp removed both midpipes and HAVE the rapsy sound and anyone with a TLs removed both midpipes and NOT have the rapsy sound?

I have a TLs with both midpipes removed and HAVE the rapsy sound. I am taking it in to the exhaust shop this Saturday to install resionator to get rid of that rapsy sound.

Just a thought-
