are cops allowed to search and seize without warrant?

i had an inccident awhile ago and cops search my whole car. now i hear some people say they need a warant? i dont believe since i watch "cops" before and they always search car without hesistation.

oh and heres a little funny thing. it took 4 cops and 5 minutes to find out how to open my trunk. AHAHAHAH idiots. they were sliding their fingers with flashlights along the edges of trunk like there was a hidden button.

they need probable cause to search your car or they can ask your permission. I'm no lawyer, but I'm pretty sure probable cause could mean anything. They can also ask you to get out and search you. Pretty sure if they find something on you that would be probable cause. dunno???


One time I got pulled over in my 95 accord because the cops said my car fit the description of a car in a drive by shooting. Was pretty scary they came to my car with guns drawn and told me to put my hands on the wheel and my passengers on the dash. Then asked us to get out. Was pretty tense.

Point of the story is they still asked to search and since I didn't have any guns,knives, grenades or drugs I let them. Not sure what would have happened if I would have said no.
