Scratches after dealer service
I picked up my 03 TL-s from the dealer on Sat after spending $3000 on the tranny and timing belt/water pump service. Why would the grey intake manifold plenum cover get all scratched up? Do they need to remove it for any part of the service? It looks like the cover was slid across concrete. And the black plastic cover is all banged up too. I take care of my stuff and I washed the engine and underhood the day before I dropped the car off. It wasn't like that. The car has almost 70k and the engine was spotless. This pisses me off. The grey cover sells for $69 plus shipping! If I go back to the dealer, I'm going to get the "it was like that" or "it's 7 years old". Nobody takes pride in their work anymore.

go back to the dealer and show the damage to your service writer...if they don't agree to replace your cover ask to speak to the service manager...at my shop we would resolve this problem without thinking twice..your the customer

covers get removed and tools and parts may get set on the engine, not supposed to but it happens
speak with the service MANAGER as they are in charge--writers are there to write new invoice and up the price~
things happens- tech will be scolded and parts dept will get you new cover no charge
Manager may offer to detail the car for you or similar service in order for you to be happy!
the survey card you should have gotten requires all 10s -corp reads them
anything less is a failing grade and gets back to dealership-affecting bonus cks
tell the manager you would like to give them 10s, having helped you somewhat on the trans...but this is just stupid under the hood..and something you paid top dollar to have done by professionals!!!
