Saw the uglyest HID Protection Method

Hi Was on my way 2 work 2 day and i saw a maxima that had 2 metal bars across each headlight that was drilled into the fedars almost a small pushbar for each headlight......i was like ill it looked so bad and i through what is the point theifs have no problem fukin up ur whole front end to get ur headlights what makes anyone think that they wont just bend the bars to get em...maybe it increases the time to acually get to the hids but it looks terrible and if they are determined....they will get em.....peace

people are fed up. My friend's cousin had his headlights stolen about 3 times in the same area, they have had enough. And we all know that some people dont give a damn how their car looks as long as it rides good.

A friend of mine at the office has a Maxima and the lights have been stolen 3 times. He said that Nissan sent him a notice that they were going to install an anti-theft device for him at n/c. I forget what it was though.

Apparently, there is a voluntary recall from Nissan that puts a beefier bracket behind the headlights to make them harder to remove. Then each headlight is identified with a microdot from data.com that ties the headlight to the VIN of the installed vehcile should they be stolen again. There is also a sticker on the headlight and the windshield that identifies the mod. Something like "Headlights protected by data.com.
