Rusty Comptech Springs
Hey all, I know there are old threads on this, but I wanted to start a new one to get some fresh info .
anyway, I was cleaning my wheels today and I noticed my back right spring is WAYYY rusted. I mean all of the silver coating is flakeing off. The others are all normal though. I got them from a guy on this site and he said he got one replaced by Comptech for free because of rust.
my question is how are they dealing with this? I mean can I still get one for free, or am I just screwed? Also, will the spring just break randomly and destroy my shock? Or what could happen? thanks

dont feel like paying someone to take them off and put new ones on again...
Such is life when it comes to modifying a vehicle. That's why I plan on keeping mine bone stock. Anyway, I just put front springs & shocks on a buddy's '90 Prelude. Both front springs rusted completely through & broke in 2 pieces. It can happen, but it takes quite a while.

Ya I just called them and they said few break because of the rust and if they do, it takes a long time...but of course they would say that. Oh well, I will just let it ride for now I guess.
