Runs at E-Town
Last week I took my moded TL-S to E-Town w/ my brother who has a 03 CLS 6speed. It was packed and it was our first time so we were not sure what to do. Anyway we both got in two runs, the first one I went against a MX6 and beat him, but when I got my slip I was a little dissappointed with my time of 15.6. My second run was against my brother, he got a terrible start but still kicked my ass. My time 15.53. Now I was pissed. My brother has a G-Tech, so we went out to the parking lot and did some 0-60 runs, sure enough he was at least 7 tenths quicker. He ran 6-6.2 sec, I ran 6.7-6.9. Something had to be wrong. On the advice of my brother I checked my actuator, sure enough it wasn't moving. I brought the car in on Thursday and had it replaced. Guess what, went to E-Town early today. it was perfect, almost empty, I got in four runs in about 20 minutes. My times 15.0, 15.1, 14.8 and 14.9. I found the seven tenths I was looking for! Better than any mod out there!

The official name is the IMRC valve. It sits on the back of the engine under the strut brace. All I know is that at 4100 rpm the engine sends a 12v signal to the actuator which responds by opening. I believe it allows more fuel into the engine, but I am not sure. I am not sure which site it was, either this one or acura-cl.com, but if you do a search you should get more detailed info. Try searching for 'bypass valve actuator'.
