People hate on hybrids, but theyre not just good for fuel efficiency. Take for instance the honda Dual Note concept. By taking a standard honda v6 (think our cars) and adding electrical motors, regenerative braking, etc... you get a more powerfull car off the line and when you need to gun it, and one that provides added efficiency when you're taking it easy.

I mean porsche is making a Hybrid cayenne, im sure it will be no slouch.

Anyway like with all new car tech, we should treat it as a promising source of extra performance, not the devil. We just have to wait for the right company (probably toyota) to blow our minds with a 12 second hybrid sedan that gets 40 on the highway and 30+ in the city. Im sure then noone would hate a hybrid.
