rsx type-s vs. tl type-s

the other night i raced a type-s rsx and their faster than what i thought . rsx was stock from what i could tell, my car has the intake resonater removed and heavy ass 19's witch probably slow me down a bit but what ever. to make a long story short we finaly make to the two lane section of the main road at the stop light we both glance over at each other give a little nod and it was on light turned green and we both took off some what easy till about 5mph and then punched it. i was pullin on him alittle not much, prob. just about an 1/8 of a car lenth every sec. (0-60run) then he backed off do to the rode narrowing. just thought id share

those cars can be pretty fast expecially if they are paired with a stick and a good driver... you would have beat him if you didnt have big wheels though.....

All RSX Type-S's have a manual transmission.

If you can launch it. That's the only problem with the RSX Type-S, hard to launch properly without bogging off the line or without tons of wheel spin. But you are correct. Hondata ($$$) plus I/H/E = high 13s.

it shouldnt surprise you if an RSX-S is fast, it's got 200 hp 6spd manual and weighs a lot less than a TL, the redline is 8k rpm btw but the fuel cutoff is quite a bit higher. When you get that sonofabitch into the high rpm range it sounds so sweet...

One of my buddy has a RSX-S. He was running 14.7 with intake only. Now he has a Greddy Turbo kit, Hondata K-Pro(Ditched the E-Manage), and Greddy cat-back(cough cough Test pipe) running 13.1-13.3

dont worry about it man. the rsx-s is a beastly car. like the other member said, just remember the weight of your wheels and the weight of that car compared to yours
