Hey I know some people have had their rotors replaced under warranty. Is this normal or does Acura give you a hard time about it?

My Brother has an 03 CL-S 6-spd with 27K miles, the rotors are very bent (atleast im assuming thats what it is) if we go into acura will they take care of this without a problem , or will we need to fight them, or is it a losing battle?

I have an 03 TLS that had warped rotors. I took it in at 18k miles and they resurfaced them. At 21k miles I took it back in for the same problem and they replaced the rotors for free. YMMV. There is a TSB on the subject and it might be helpful to mention that when you take the car in.

i fought and fought and only got them resurfaced twice... now it shakes the wheel out of my hand and I have to replace, but..... I am out of warranty....

although i did not try many dealerships, the one close to my house never fixed it for me under warranty. basically played it off initially when the problem was light and then told me it was wear-and-tear when you could definitely feel the problem. i ended up going to the aftermarket. with 27k, it might be a battle. try bringing in a couple of the TSB or at least mention it.

i had mine replaced as well as the pads at about 25k or so. No probs just search the forum and print out the service bulitens that are posted on here. When they see you are informed and not some jerk off they will normally just do it for u no probs
