Did you move the seat all the way forward and check the rear seat bolts? Also all the way back and check the front seat bolts? It could also be a bad seat track. Honda/Acura seat tracks do occationaly go bad. When you go around a turn if the seat moves ever so slightly left or right it is a bad seat track. It should have no play in it.

I've got the same issue, I've got a '00 TL. I think I'll take a look at the bolts and tighten if need be...

Most likely its not loose bolts. Its probably in the track or lift motor. Have you tried to adjust the seat height/position to see if it goes away or makes it worse?

I'll check the bolts tonight when my wife gets home. it seems as this might be a fairly common problem. I had the same problem with my 98 Corvette. replaced the seat adjuster twice under warranty with two different revised adjusters which were suppose to fix the problem. alway came back after a couple of months. GM, you gotta love them.
no, neither my wife or I are overweight by more than 5-10 lbs.

You may have to take the seat off the floor to inspect the rails underneath. The 4 bolts on the floor could be tight, but the bolts on the seat could be loose.

In the thread you posted a link to, I stated where the 4 bolts are. Take those out, and lift the seat up slightly. You willl see two harnesses connected to the seat; they are for the heater and the side air bag. Disconnect the battery first, then disconnect these harnesses to lift up the seat higher. You won't have to take the seat out of the car (it's a bitch). Just tilt it backward and rest it against the rear seats and inspect the underside to make sure nothing is loose. I can't remember if the harness wires are long enough, but if they are, then you might be able to tilt the whole seat backward without disconnecting the harnesses (this could light up the SRS light, so try to avoid disconnecting them).

Good luck.

I have the same problem in my "99 but its only on the driver's side. It doesn't do it everytime I move around but prolly more times than none. I really don't feel like taking the time to mess with it though. Good to know it's a common problem though b/c I thought it was just mine.

mine did this before - I have a post on this. when I took the seat off, one of the arms that moves the seat front up and down was totally broke off at the weld. I took the seat to a welding shop and they fixed it for $5.

If your seat moves very much, im almost certain this is the problem
