Angry Rock Chips

I just washed my car, and I noticed I have like 15+ chip marks on the front portion of my TL. How on earth do you guys prevent this? ARGGHhhh.....sh*t is pissing me off. I was thinking about getting a front end bra, but it looks so ugly with one.:yack:

Here are your options:

1. bra. (wouldn't touch it with a 20ft pole)

2. clear bar from xpel or stongard. Very effective but could be costly.

3. Fill in the chips with touch up paint or with a different and better brand than the factory ****.

Hope this helps!

NEVER, NEVER, EVER drive behind a truck.
It is a pain to do, but if you can plan ahead and adjust to the flow of traffic, it is almost possible.

1) Most truck are in the right two lanes. If on the freeway, keep to the left most (3rd or 4th lane).

2) If you have to get behind a truck, make sure there is a car ahead of you and the truck.

3) If you are passing a truck, make sure there is about 150 yards of clear road between you and him, and then gun it (one lane over). The less time you spend behind him, the less chance of you getting nailed. Once you are slightly ahead, you are home free.

4) Never stay next to a truck. I have seen a truck tire blow out and throw pieces of rubber and steel radials into the side of a car right next to it.

the 3m clear bra looks pretty unnoticeable if you have a light color car.

Question Have considered ...

I have about 20k miles and my front is overall in good condition but your right about those annoying rock chips. Well when I get my tax refund am considering taking my car to a Auto customize paint shop and repainting only the front bumper. and might even think about doing some custom work with my fog holes to mold them around to fit a PIAA fog light. Anyway will see...

If you use touch up paint, would you have to buff it after it dries and put some sort of clear coat on top of it?

Definitely stay away from trucks. It's been a crazy winter up here. I was drivin to work and noticed a salt/sander truck coming at me in the other lane... needless to say I quickly turned into a side street

I noticed them on my NBP TL also. That's the biggest downer when you're washing your TL - to find new rock chips. Someone musta hit me at school one day too cause I have 2 marks on my back bumper that just WONT COME OUT!
