Rock Chip In Windshield. Replace or Repair
I was driving to work..all of a sudden i see a dime size chip in the top of the windshield...i just had it replaced last summer too. anyway should i repair it or just get a new one...last i checked they are only about 150-200$. Just lemme know what you guys think..thanks

If its in the drivers line of sight (in front of drivers view) they wont repair it, otherwise its up to you. If it highly visible and it will bug you then just replace it.

i would still try to get it repaired. i was told by my local glass company that if the area of damage is smaller than a dollar bill then it can be repaired. it's just cheaper to repair i guess.
if you go through your insurance they don't like to see you replacing windshields more than 3 times in a 18 month period (or so i was told). so do cash if you can.

I had a real big chip in mines before and I got it replace for about $400. After that i had a little ding in it and i just got it repaired for about $45. I heard there are repair kits that you can do on your own, but i would just let the pros do it.
